Trumpeter-composer Arthur Brooks is one of the unsung heroes of the new music. In his 40+ year career he has collaborated with such legendary figures as Bill Dixon, Cecil Taylor, Sonny Sharrock, Alan Silva, and Frank Wright. For over 20 years he taught alongside Dixon in the Black Music Division at Bennington College. For this version of Ensemble V, he is joined by Matt Weston – percussion, Bill Heminway - trumpet, and Anthony Santor – bass.

Donna Parker (Trumpet Jelly) has been making noise for ages using a blown out Traynor amp, crappy mic, some broken pedals, and sheer will. Maybe she’ll even bring along her record player and contact mics.

Abdul Sherzai creates sound and art in Worcester, Massachusetts. He's made bedroom noise under various monikers since 2006. "Not for the faint of heart, but for the hard of hearing."

Michael Rosenstein creates unstable sonics from distressed field recordings, amplified surfaces, oscillators and home-made electronics.
